Hey Family,
Welcome into my heart and mind. Briana Breathes is a home for all of my writings, and I welcome you into this space.

I’ve been on a journey of learning who God created me to be—my identity and my purpose. Through prayer, the Father reminded me that I am a lover of words—a writer. He assured me that He placed this gift in me to show a small sliver of Himself to the world.

For years, I was afraid to be SEEN and KNOWN, believing I was defective, disposable, and not good enough. But recently, the Lord fully opened my eyes to see Him—and to see myself. The Lord only speaks truth. And He says: I am loved. I am precious. He did not make a mistake when He made me. He has given me gifts. And being fully myself reveals His glory to the world.

So this is me—embracing and sharing who our loving Father created me to be.

The name Briana Breathes represents the life that flows out of me, breathed into me by God. The logo, “I Am and You Are Mine,” reflects what Christ revealed to me: He is everything—Alpha and Omega, perfect, the All in All. No beginning or end. He simply is. He created me. I belong to Him. And that is more than enough.

Through prayer, His name is revealed here as YHWH. This is the name God revealed to Moses when He spoke His identity: “I Am Who I Am.” YHWH comes from the Hebrew word for “to be,” expressing that God simply is—eternal, unchanging, and ever-present. Many believe that YHWH is a name so sacred it's more breath than word—just the sound we make as we inhale and exhale. To breathe is to call the name of God. So as I breathe, I remember: He is, and I am His.

Finally, the hummingbird represents my grandfather, Ronald W. Overton, who has passed on. Since his transition, every time I see a hummingbird, I think of him and praise God for the love we shared. He was a fellow writer, a lover of God, and the purest human example I’ve known of being truly seen and loved unconditionally.

It is my prayer that you see me in these writings, see God, and see the world through my eyes. These pieces are simply my perspective—not meant to be perfect or presented as absolute truth. Just my view, my experience.
